You need to go to Main PC( one that is wired to the router). Open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 When the login box opens, log into to this WRT54G , using the default password, admin, leave the username blank. On the setup page you have wireless tab under which you have wireless security. Click on Wireless Security here, if you have selected Security Mode as WEP then key1 is your WEP KEY.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

The router has WEP or WPA, it locked with a security code, if you know the owner you could ask for it

How to turn on wireless capability

Install the wireless card driver if it is not installed.
To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is configured in the Wireless settings in the Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase or WPA or WPA2 key that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Iam trying to set up a photosmart D7360 to work in my home for all PCs so I'd like to set it up wireless. I'm currently using a router. How do I start? I have a brand ne HP lap top and the photosmart is in...

HP Photosmart D7360 is Not completely Wireless Capable, However if you want to make it Wireless, You will have to use HP bt450 Bluetooth Wireless.

However since this printer has Ethernet Port, you can still make this printer wireless.

You will have to connect this printer thru Ethernet cable ( network cable ) to Router ( this is called wired networking )

Once you have connected the printer to Router, insert the disk in CD Drive and start the installation process, It will prompt you to choose the type of Connection, Choose Wired/Wireless Network and continue with further installation to complete.

    How this works,
With any PC that is connected Wireless to Router, You will be able to print wireless from the PC to Printer.

Connect another computer to wireless router instructions say go to site www.linksysfix.com/ela

on any standard UNSECURED router, all you should have to do is click connect under "Network connections" in Control Panel. However, if the wireless router you would like to connect to is SECURED (password protected), you will just need to type in the password required in the connections when prompted.

This is assuming the other computer you are trying to add is wireless capable.

Amlio li 2727 notebook adding to wireless network

find out first if your comp is wireless capable, then if it is, see if your wireless network is locked. for what ever wireless you are using you can go to the website and see if there is a way to get your passkey info. once you have that info then you should be able to add you comp. however if your comp isnt wireless capable then you will net a wireless card, pref. the same name as your wireless router.

I bought an Acer notebook (Aspire 9920) back in December. My ISP manual says that the 'Wireless Network Key' should be on the base of the notebook on a coloured label. This doesn't appear to be the case....

A wireless network key is used to join to a wireless network. Wireless networks are created by routers and/or access points. In order to obtain the key so you can log onto the network, you must have access to the router's settings or be given the key by someone who can access the router. To access the router, you type in it's IP address into your internet browser. If it is password protected, you will need that as well. Once in the router settings, you can set many configuration options, including the wireless network password or passphrase and encryption type.

Again, if you are joining to a wireless network, the KEY is determined by the router, not the laptop. This is how multiple wireless devices are allowed onto the same network: they all use the same key.
