Question about Pioneer DV-260 DVD Player

1 Answer

Is there any software out there to make physically perfect unrecordable dvd's useable again. I had an older recorded that ruined about 100 discs before i bought a new one. I can see on the disc a small or sometimes larger ring on the leading recording center? thanks

The DVD is perfect except for the fact that an initial piece of data was written onto the disc that makes it unloadable. I can see that the disc is completely empty, so I would like to try to use the disc for recording before filing them in the shredder. Thanks for any help someone might have.

Hello! I am trying to record movies from my VCR collection to make them on the DVD format. I place the tape in the VCR ...then add a "brand new" DVD into the DVD tray (Sony DVD+R)...I then...

You are probably using a disc format which is not compatible with this model unit. Try using DVD-R instead of DVD+R. That should eliminate your error - and work fine. Give it a try - at this stage it is most likely a set of incorrect DVD formats (you can keep any unrecorded/remaining DVD+R discs for your PC (if it supports them) and use them as data storage).

* Single layer DVD-R 4.7GB/120min/4-16X discs are relatively cheap in a spindle tub (25 or 50 discs) available everywhere. *

The good news is no repair costs at this stage.

I have a dvdr3380 lately when i put in disc it says disc unrecord

Test the created DVD with TMPGEnc v4.0 Xpress here is the free trial link It has a read source function that will fail if the DVDR has not been authored correctly.

If this works and scans in the full DVDR then I suggested that you buy a branded DVD+R like Philips who created the format, if this still fails I think you DVDR 3380 will need a service.

LOL

Dub VHS to DVD

I am not sure why the DVD recorder is stopping after 25 mins of recording. However, once a disk is finalized all the remaining space is unrecordable. That is why your computer is showing the disk as full. The same applies when finalizing a CD. As for the first problem, check to see what record speed you are using. XP is 1 hr, SP 2hr and so on. But stopping after 25 minutes is weird. Even if you use a quick record button, (aka OTR) the recording is usually done in 30 minute increments. Try it again. If it still is only recording for 25 minutes, you may want to contact the manufacture's customer service or tech support. Hope it helps.

Same problem. "NoREAD" after about 15 months of moderate usage. Cleaned laser eye thoroughly. Solution is a class action lawsuit against Panasonic.
