Iam dr.mallik from A.P .Ipurchase lenovo notebook y510.for my intreast i changed operatingsystem window vista homepremium to window xp.my question is how can i install nvidia drivers to my notebook THANKING YOU

Hello Dr Mallik,

Normally your operating system will find the correct drivers for your hadware, but if have the orginal disc's with the computer system then I suggest you use them to install the drivers onto your computer. Falling that you could always go the internet and search on ask.co.uk to locate drivers for youe operating system.

How do you turn off lvt


To remove LVT (Lenovo Vantage Technology) on your Lenovo computer, follow these steps:

  1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.
    • Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. When you find the program "LVT" or "Lenovo Vantage Technology", click it, and then do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall.
    • Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
  3. Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove LVT.

Which operating system ?
Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer
Windows Advanced Options Menu
Please select an option:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debugging Mode
Start Windows Normally
Reboot
Return to OS Choices Menu
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice

select safe mode with command prompt

Click start run type cmd press Enter
black screen should open DOS mode
this will vary depending on your operating system

type in net user username
For eg. If you want to change administrator password , type net user Administrator

It will prompt you to enter the new password.
Enter the new password and the password is changed

Lenovo k200, model no. 57068310, S/N MB 34956 VISTA HOME PREMIUM was converted to WINDOW XP, and now i am finding it hard to install the correct drivers that the mother board supports. kindly help me.

I see that you downgraded from Vista to XP and now you are having issues with installing your drivers.

To be able to get the correct drivers for your system click on the link below this will bring you to a lenovo page for the k200 desktop drivers, on the drivers list thereare 2 types of drviers for Vista and for Windows XP make sure that you download the drivers for XP to avoid any conflict with the installation of your drivers.

I installed the windows 7 to lenovo G450. after that i cant a access the dvd burner. when iam installed the xp, or vista i can access the burner. is it any driver problem?


Click Windows icon

Type regedit in the Search bar and press enter.


In the registry editor, locate the following key in the left pane

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM-> CurrentControlSet-> Control-> Class

Now locate the key {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} and click on it

On the right pane you will see

"Upperfilters"
"Lowerfilters"

Right click on them and click delete.

Close Registry Editor

Restart your computer, check your CD/DVD drive.

How to format a lenovo laptop


If you have the OEM Lenovo XP disc are you have to do is insert and follow the instruction. If you are using off the shelf software, then switch the BIOS SATA to compatibility mode, and boot from your CD drive with the disc in it, and format the harddrive followed by installing the software.( like Windows XP or the Vista)
