I'm trying to get my Dazzle DVD Recorder to install, I have the disc and everything, but the only thing i get past is half of the first part of the installation, then some kind of error just pops up then I can't install, what can I do?

UPDATER if you are using the Dazzle DVD Video Recorder, Dazzle Video

To be able to install this version, you must own an Instant DVD Recorder Version 2.x full version
To install this Instant DVD Recorder version not as an
update but as a full version you need to enter your Instant DVD Recorder
Version 2.x serial number during the installation process. The serial
number was included in your Dazzle product.
With Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 bit, you need to install Instant DVD recorder 2.6.1 as a full version.
If you own an Instant DVD Recorder Version 1.x full version, to only install Instant DVD Recorder 2.6.1 full version.
If you use this Instant DVD Recorder Updater to update
the Instant DVD Recorder included with Studio Version 12, 11 or 10,
please make sure that Instant DVD Recorder is already installed on you
system. Please note that the version of Instant DVD Recorder included
with Studio Version 12, 11 or 10 can't be installed under Windows Vista
Insert the Dazzle DVD Recorder installation disc in your computer. Click your CD drive and double-click "Setup.exe" Install and follow the on-screen instructions. Enter your product key and click "Accept" for the license terms. Click the option for a full or repair install to overwrite the corrupt installation, troubleshooting and resolving your issue with the software.
Disconnect your dazzle DVC 170 and reconnect back to another usb port. Go to your control panel then device manager look for sound video and games controller, Right click on the Pinnacle DVC 170 video drive device uninstall. Restart the computer. After restarting let the computer do the automatic install then after that try again.
Did you mean dazzle and hooked it up to your MAC machine. I guess and I understand that you need to install the driver for your MAC OS. Because dazzle can only work with Windows Operating system. Can you please tell me if that device is Pinnacle capture for MAC?

Now if you need Studio program just call Pinnacle customer service and then asked for the replacement disc for $14.95 only.

Checked also if your vista is 32 bit then download under 32 bit but if that is 64 bit then download for 64bit. Try again.
If you already install your dazzle to your computer double click on IDVDR Icon and then choose advance mode. Click on step number 1 click the pull down arrow and then choose your dazzle dvc device thing, Put your DVD blank disc to your writer and then on step number2 click the pulldown arrow and then choose your DVD writer. On the start up of the instant DVD recorder program, you can either use the "let the wizard guide you" or "advance mode"
1. Select source: you should select the options:
Video standard NTSC (Because this is the default in our region) Video composite - if you are using RCA (red, yellow and white cables) S-video - if you are using the cable with several pins in it.
2. Select Burner You should select the options: Hard disc folder - if you will be saving the content in your hard drive, the format of this files are DVD such as VOB and IFO etc. TSST - _ _ _ _ - if you will selecting your DVD drive.
(If you have selected your DVD Burner and you cannot click "next" to proceed to the Third option, this means that your DVD drive is not able to burn a DVD)
3. Select menus It must be NO
4. Recording select total recording time (make sure that dazzle is selected in the "select source" to set the total recording time)
