No need to remove the pulley from the motor , instead youll need to drop the motor form the unit, and seperate the pump form the motor install it that way, be aware of the way in which the belt is coiled through the pump legs, it will make a diff as to how it goes back together

Need to replace the main belt on the bottom of the washer. The belt goes around the drive pulley directly below the electric motor which is accessible from the front bottom access panel. The belt goes...

Unplug the motor wiring, remove the bolts holding the motor bracket (4 I think) remove the hoses from the pump and lift the motor and pump out. Remove the 3 screws on the pump and separate from the motor. Put the belt on the pulley and replace the pump. Slide the motor and pump back in with the belt attached, but don't put the 4 bolts on until you put the belt over the tub pulley. Then put them in and plug the wiring back onto the motor. That should do it!

I don't know how to get the belt on the small pulley

If the design of this unit is the water pump is in the front directly below the motor, you have to install one of the pump plastic legs between the belt. when installing new belt. There are torex screws holding the pump onto the motor. This is assuming your belt burnt off or broke and you are replacing the belt. The small idler pulley can be worked on by running the belt on the big pulley when reinstalling the motor Try not to stretch the spring for the idler pulley,
hope this helps

Install belt on Amana top load washing machine

Use the correct sized belt!!

Loosen the Motor mounting Bolts. ( Do not take it off ) Now the motor assembly can be moved towards the opposite large pulley.

Replace the belt in this position and slide the motor to it's original position. You adjust it in such away so that, the belt is not too tight or loose!

My amana ned7200tw electric dryer turns on but doesn't tumble/run... the pulley is ok checked that any other ideas

all there is is a belt that turns the drum, the belt goes on the motor pulley around the pulley and around the drum, check the motor pulley to see if it unattached from motor shaft or check the belt to see if it flipped over somehow, there is a smooth side and a ribbed side on the belt and you said the pulley is fine

Amana AL480DAW- burnt smell, smoke, still fills then dicharges

You are right on about the belt. If the tub every gets jammed by a full load and has trouble turning, the drive belt can get heated up ( kind of like spinning tires on the road...you get a smell and everything still works).
I would suggest pulling the front cover to expose the belts...look underneath. There are usually two one for the drive and one for the pump. I'd replace them both... with extreme heat, it can change the belt enough that it won't operate correctly with bigger loads.

Amana dryer does not run but i can hear the motor faintly

Sounds like the belt is either broken or slipped off the pulley. Remove the back of the dryer and find the motor. Look to see if the belt is still attached to the pulley. If not, look to see if it has slipped form the pulley and is hanging from the drum, or if it is broken. More than likely, regardless of which it is, you will just need to replace the belt.

I need to replace the belt

You shouldn't have to remove the pump to replace the belt. The motor mount can be loosened and the motor moved so the belt will fit over all pulleys without removing the components.

Loosen motor, move it in, install belt, move motor out to correct belt tension, tighten motor mounts.

Remove the front panel by loosening the two screws that hold it in place. Unhook the spring that puts tension on the tension pulley. Remove old/worn belt and replace with new belt. Very important that you use the correct size belt or the motor may be damaged and remember to hook the spring back for the tension pulley. The new belt has to go around the inside of the tension pulley.
