What type of humidifier is it. If it the one in the picture, LW44 these type of humidifiers use a cold evaporation type of humidification and does not produce mist.

boogiecheck is right, the one pictured uses natural evaporation( no white dust) I just ordered one from abdistrsupport@gmail.com and mine works great. I own 3 total.

This type does not make mist the Venta Airwasher uses a cold evaporation method. This is by far the best method. It also purifies the air. FYI by a refurbished model half the price but it runs and looks like new. Look at them www.ventahumidifiers.com
