HP Officejet J5780 Waste ink tank full

Hello, if the waste tank is full, just take it out, and dump it out over a trash can. Do not waste money on a new one, because you can just empty this one. Just dump it out over a trash can and you should be good to go.

Thanks for using FixYa!

My HP Officejet J5780 gives me an error code to change the left ink cartridge. We have done this twice now and still will not work. How come?

Hello.
On the front of the cartridge are some gold coloured dots, these dots line up with pins inside the printers cartridge holder. Make sure all these pins are lining up and free of any ink or dirt. Use a bright torch to make it easier.
I hope this helps Regards GM

I have a hp printer officejet J5780 All imn one.

I have found this model has a bad buildup of black ink in the right carriage bay chamber. With the printer on, open the carriage access lid and pull the power cord before the cartridge carriage can move all the way to the right side. Then gently push back the cartridge holder on the right if it's in your view, so you can see if there is a collection of black ink. The tri-color cartridge has a preventive bracket that doesn't seem to build as much as the black one. Anyway, once you've cleared any dripped ink cones or globs, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and if you get the Carriage Jam error one more time, press OK, and it should work well if that was the block on the carriage movement. I hope this helps you to get printing again.
