Question about Konica Minolta bizhub C250 All-In-One Laser Printer

Bizhub C250 Scanner jobs are being "done improperly"

Working yesterday..then not this morning.  
Trying to scan and send either .jpeg or .pdf to my email address. 
Problem is defined as:  "Job has been done improperly.  Check log."
Not sure how to check the job log for a job that has been done improperly as they are only options for deleted jobs or completed jobs.
Is there another log I can check?  How does one find that log as the user manual is quite vague about any references in the index to "LOG" or job log etc.
I have shut down main power, waited 5 mins. and restarted the machine.  I was able successfully send myself .jpg's and .pdf's in the past 2 days and last night..and this error message didn't present itself..we are a small office and I have been only using Bizhub for the past 12 hours...
Please help.  Grant application due and I need to get corporate documents scanned into a .pdf and would rather not do this the long nasty way.

    I've shut down the machine for a longer period of time...but to no avail

Reinstall the software that came with the scanner abd then try.

    this ab error which show up when you try to sot the work in between.. AS waht you have already done shut down main power, waited 5 mins. and restarted the machine, that is the fix to this issue.

Printing PDF to Bizhub c252 issue


I had this once. We simply deleted the Printer Driver and reinstalled it. Also, when reinstalling the Printer Driver we chose the PS (PostScript version).
Try that - hope it helps

When we go to scan documents to the a network station address only three pages will go through the scanner and we then get a message telling us that the job has been done improperly. What's the sitch?


1.from the pagescope web connection enter admin mode
2.select network, email,email transmission.
3.enter an admin email address it does not have to be a valid address i usualy enter in this fashion scan@nameofyourcompany.com
4.enter a device email address in the same fashion as above.
5 select apply.
the device email address and admin email address have to be entered in the copier or you will get this message

Job has been done impropely. Check the log


you have to check the settings, check that everybody can read/write to the folder you share, be sure to give the right path to the directory forr printer. maybe you have to use name and pwd

I cannot scan a document to a single email


file type is probably set to single page. to set the file type to multi page do the following:
1.press the scan button on the op panel
2.select scan setting
3.select file type
4.select multi page multi page to have the entire scan job sent as a single file.
if you are scanning jpeg as file type they will only scan as single page docs only pdf and tiff can be sent as multi page files

Job has been done improperly check log files


The first thing to try is to restart the Bizhub. Power switch for that is located behind the front panel where the toner cartidges are. Not the switch to the side of the operation panel.

If that doesn't work, you need to check the job history. Press details, there will be a description of the error.

Server Connect Error: The Bizhub cannot find your computer.
Things to check:
Firewall, ports that need to be open are TCP 139, 445, UDP 137, 138
Netbois resolution not working, try using your PC's IP address instead.
If using Host Name to resolve, try Host name in uppercase.

Folder Not Found:
Check to make sure you are using the correct share name. Not necessarily would be sd.

Login error:
Need to use a Username/Password which is an active account which has priveledge for the shared directory. If on a domain, use a domain authentication string for the username (username@domain.com) If on a workgroup, \\COMPUTERNAME\Username If your password rotates every 60-90 days, could be that all you need to do is update the Bizhub with that information.

Scan job returns error job is done improperly. Check log 6385


I had this problem when sending to mail account.
This can also be changed for ftp/smb.
So maby this is the answer to you problem.

Solution: Extend the time-out from 90 to 300 seconds

Goto the setting of the machine (http://<ip>) and login with Administrator account.
On the page Network click on Email/SMTP.
Change the Time-Out setting to 300 seconds.

Scanning large documents to PDF takes a long time


Try to use Compact PDF or a lower resolution.

Reset your Toners and Imaging units for Minolta Bizhub and CF series.

Try using the Comapct PDF option as a file type.
This should be used if file size is a concern.

It applies a mathematical compression so will affect the quality of the scans very little.

Scanning to SMB


you have to input your computer name instead of ip address. also you may use reference or something to look up your computer form lan network, thats the best way. and if you find your computer and shared folder and first scan is completed successfully you may add this path to address book

eee, what version machine you have ?
C252 is copier
C252p is a printer version without copy function

what are you trying to to? copy ? scan ? print ? fax ?
