Based on the description of the "Fav" button, it cycles through the Favorite channels stored on your cable converter (I assume this is like a cable box). So given that, I don't believe you can set that button for anything then what it came to do.

I would if you have not done so Google that number to find a manual and see what codes are available---if not an "original" remote a universal likely will not work on many sets.
