SOURCE: samsung mp3 yp-u3j no driver

download windows media player 11
once you install it follow these steps:

-right click my computer-click properties-click on hardware tab- then click on device manager

- plug in your yp-u3jqby mp3 player

-you should see your mp3 player pop up. double click it. then upgrade drivers.

after endless hours... i finally got it to work. i guess the trick is windows media player 11.

SOURCE: samsung mp3 yp-u3j no driver

Seems that if you plug the device in and it cannot find a driver then you have to force the computer to look for one. Even installing the Samsung software didn't help and their website instructions doesn't tell you the name of the driver. I did the following which worked.

Right click on my computer, select properties and go for the hardware tab.Click device manager and look down the list. Somewhere you'll find a yellow warning icon next to Samsung y3 or unrecognisable device. Right click on this and go for properties then the driver tab then driver details You'll see there isn't one. Click OK and go for update driver. Click the Advanced install option and include the specific location C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers. Click OK and the computer should tell you its found an MTP device. The driver it uses if C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\wpdusb.sys. This worked for me.

Just bought ipod off a friend, i need help! (instructions and more)

The booklet and programs to run the iPod or iTunes are on apples website. As far as reseting the password, your friend should give you that when you buy it from them, unless you stole it. If you didn't, there are only 9,999 possible combinations for you to go through. If you just want to turn it off, plug it into the computer and iTunes will turn it off. Hope this helped.

Cant read

Try a different usb port first, then try another computer (with a compatible OS, of course). If another computer will not recognize it, then the player is actually damaged.
