Printer may need cleaning

Take out both the ink cartridges from the printer and then unplug the power cable from the printer as well as the wall outlet.
With a lint free cloth and little purified or drinking water (Make sure it is not socked squeze out the excess water) and clean the dotted metal contacts in the cartridges and also inside the printer wher the ink cartrigdes get in contact (Make sure you do not touch the metal contacts)
Before inserting the cartridges make sure they are not wet and insert the ink cartridges and plug the power cord back to the printer and wall outlet.
