half way through a fry and the lights when out and the oil started to cool. changed the fuse but its not that.any ideas

sounds like it could be a bad capaciter...will be cheaper to buy a new one then fix look on overstock.com I recomend the delonge

Try the hi limit. Really small red plunger button. Push it in until it clicks. This is a safety device made to trip if the oil temp reaches a predetermined max temp, when it trips, it opens the circuit & will not allow the unit to heat. It will only have two wires going to it.
