Try the hi limit. Really small red plunger button. Push it in until it clicks. This is a safety device made to trip if the oil temp reaches a predetermined max temp, when it trips, it opens the circuit & will not allow the unit to heat. It will only have two wires going to it.

Stop noisy engine lifters

You are probably running low on oil unless you have been dogging the engine from red light to red light then you probably stretched the push rods you can also tighten the lifters

My 2001 sunfire starts fine.but after i drive for about half hour it will stall and wnt start again for half hour.the oil light stays on when this happens.wassup with this?

This happened with my Sunfire. It was the radiator. The engine wasn't cooling, but the sensor wasn't showing that it was overheating. So the engine would start when it was cool, but as soon as it got hot, then if I stopped it wouldn't start again.

So my bike was riding fine up to Thursday night. I just changed the oil on Sunday and every time I rode it there were no issues except for the bike taking a while to turn over about half way through a 4...

As I'm sure you suspect, changing the oil and sparkplugs should have nothing to do with the symptoms you've outlined. The symptoms "seem" to indicate a problem in the charging system. Either the battery is in need of replacement or the regulator is fried. One way to test which is at fault is to jump start the bike (be VERY careful doing this as a car battery will fry your system if you connect it wrong). Once it is started, remove the jumper cables. If you need to rev the engine slightly to keep it running, this is normal as a dead battery is a big draw on the electrical charging system. If you can, have a friend hold the bike RPM's around 1500 and disconnect one of the battery leads on the bike's battery. If the bike continues to run (my suspicion is it will), you have a bad battery. If the bike will not run, then the charging system is the culprit. It could be something as simple as a regulator or as complicated as the generator (inside the engine).

Serpentine belt problem?? heater blowing cold air.

If the serpentine belt broke, the water pump would have also stopped turning, causing coolant to stop flowing...therefore the heater would run cold. Since the belt also turns the alternator, the charging system would also stop working (alt light).
Since nothing is flowing through the engine or radiator, the engine will quickly overheat. Since your engine oil also does a bit of cooling as well as lubrication, oil passing through the overheated block will break down and overheat as well. Hopefully the light came on for that before any internal bearing damage was done. Smoke was due to the overheat.
Your serpentine belt likely is not covered under a warranty, especially after four years.
Hopefully the problem is isolated to just the belt but I do recommend that if you have an automatic transmission you change the fluid in that even if you are not at the change interval recommended. Trans oil is cooled by the cooling system and a severe overheat can chemically change it. Doing a change now will avoid any overheat related trans failure. Since you can't remove all the trans fluid (at best during a change you only remove half) so I recommend using a bottle of lucas trans additive to bolster the remaining fluid.
Good luck!!

Engine sounded noisy & scratchy when i drove to school oil light on. Got back to car after 10 mins everything came on (radio etc) but when i went to turn it over everything just cut out like dead...

after the vehicle cooled completely and all the oil drained down it showed half full? that would mean it was anywhere from 2 to 2.5 quarts low? unless you mean that it showed halfway up the full / safe area on the dipstick.

the oil light being on usually means low oil or low oil pressure, if the vehicle still doesn't try to start after it is completely cool then you might have a locked up engine or multiple problems, check the oil again now that it has been sitting awhile look for water in the oil also check for oil in the water.

check battery connections again, make sure they are tight, if lights and such work then try to get a jump from someone. even new batteries can go bad

I would definitely be worried about that oil light though.

good luck and I hope this helps.

Do not know how to use

Oil darkens with use the oil food molecules burn when subjected to high prolonged heat.
When frying foods such as fish or chicken use the oil once.

Do not filter oil over to reuse. Storing the oil in the refrigerator may extend the life of the oil, this should not be done ever. This process of chilling the oil and then burning the oil to room temperature causes excessive splattering furing the heat up.

Storing the covered oil in a cool dark place, for up to three months. ( remember to check oil when you use for color, smell, or excessive foaming. Throw out if there is signs of all the above.

This unit has a warranty for one year from the day of purchase.

Cooking:

When starting let unit reheat 7-10 minutes. This will get the heat to desired temperature. Re4ady light will cycle on/off during frying as temperature fluctuates due to food load.
Types of foods cooking: temperatures and time of cooking

Chicken strips 375 F. 5-8 minutes

Chicken pieces, bone-in 375 F. 15-20 minutes

Fish, battered 340 F. 8-10 minutes

French fries, frozen 375F. 3-5 minutes

F375F. 3-5 minutes

Onion rings 375 F. 3-5 minutes

Shrimp, breaded 375 F. 2-5 minutes
When frying frozen food if iced rub off lose as this can make the temperature of oil cool down. Pre-cooked frozen food cooks faster and does not come out oily.

I cannot wait to start cooking in mine as I got it for a christmas gift. Great recipes in the owners manual:

Apples fritters yum yum, beer batter for fish or chicken, deep fried chicken , chicken Kiev, quick doughnut made from biscuits, add topping of ground cinnamon and suger.
