Question about CTX PV 720 17" LCD Monitor
I turn on the monitor and it is fine for 30 seconds or so then then the backlight drops but the images are still there can be seen with external light if i shut it off and turn it back on it will get another 30 seconds etc.
a transistor is obviously bad and I am poor enough to have to isolate it.
ctx pv 720 LCD monitor. how do I fix it ? I can solder and desolder with the best of them.
Comment posted on Dec 03, 2008 I know its gotta be capacitor or power transistor circuit but where exactly is the low power transistor controller
The problems on the backlight inverter power supply. Open it up and check all the capacitors, it look like a tiny battery cap on the side had writing on it. (Example 1000uf 16v ) if you are lucky you can spot it right away...with a bulged on top of each caps. If not, just replaced all of the caps... Good luck!
