Replace the fuel filter. Sounds like you have the primer lines hooked up backwards.

There ARE two holes in the tank. One samll and another larger. One is on the left side and the other is on the right. Look carefully and you'll find them. As far as connections of the fuel lines:
The line from the fuel filter in the tank goes directly through the small hole in the tank to the top nipple on the carb thus giving the carb a constant supply of fuel when running. The primer bulb is used only for "priming" and does not play a part in the fuel flow after that function. The bottom nipple on then carb then goes back to the nipple on the primer bulb which is clearly marked "Carb". The above connections are made with the smaller diameter tubing. From the primer bulb, marked "Tank", the larger diameter tubing is routed to the large hole in the tank. The tubing goes into the tank only 1/2 to 3/4 inch. As far as getting the tubing through the holes in the tank, cutting the tubing at a slant. But no matter what you do it is still a witch. Be patient, use some Vaseline and avoid the temptation to get out the drill and **** the hole to a larger size.

The line at the rear of the fuel tank with the fuel filter is the main feed line to the carburetor and connects to the upper nipple. The lower nipple on the carburetor goes to one of the primer ports, and the other primer port goes back to the tank, which has no filter on the tank end. On the primer port, it is cut and try--remove the tank return connection and leave loose. Place the main fuel line on to one of the primer ports and try to pump fuel into it with several pumps.Make sure the filter in the tank is not plugged. If nothing, shift the line to the other port of the primer and try pumping again. When successful, remove the main fuel line and return it to the upper carburetor port. Run a new line from the lower carburetor port to the active primer port and try to pump fuel again. If it won't pump fuel, reverse the two connections at the carburetor and try to pump again. If still nothing, there is trouble within the carburetor which should be cleaned with spray carburetor cleaner and maybe re-kitted. When you can finally pump fuel through the carburetor, then attach the tank return line to the open port on the primer bulb. Hope fully, the engine should run at this point. Hope this helps!

No drawings or pix, but will try for description--the line from the tank that has the fuel filter is the main fuel source which goes to the upper connection on the carburetor. The lower carburetor connection goes to the intake side of the primer bulb, and the outlet side of the primer goes back into the tank, which has no filter inside the tank. The main problem is determining the correct primer port to connect back to the carburetor. When everything is connected, try priming the carburetor. If fuel fills the bulb, you have everything connected correctly. If nothing happens, try switching the two primer port connections and try to pump fuel again. If still nothing, hook the main supply line from the carburetor over to one of the primer ports and try for fuel again--if still nothing, switch the main supply line to the other primer port and pump again. If still nothing, check for a plugged fuel filter in the tank. If the filter was plugged, then go through the previous procedure again. Make sure to replace the fuel lines with original rubber lines, not plastic. Hope this helps!
SOURCE: I need a diagram to see how to replace the fuel
The large hole in the tank brings a line from the filter to the upper carburetor fitting. The lower carburetor fitting goes to the primer inlet (which is found by plug and try). The short line from the tank goes to the outlet of the primer. With fuel mix in the tank, try one of the ports in the primer with the line from the carburetor. If correct, the primer bulb will fill with fuel--otherwise, try the other primer port and see if fuel will come into the bulb. This may take over 6 pumps if the carburetor is empty of fuel. Did you check the fuel filter for plugging? If it was ok, and with new lines, fuel should pump into the primer provided the carburetor is not plugged itself. If the problem seems to center on the carburetor, be sure to check the diaphragm in the lower chamber for flexibility--no holes or cracks. Also, there is a very small filter screen in the mid-body section that may be plugged. Use spray carburetor cleaner to clean the carburetor inside and out. When you get fuel to come into the bulb, the short line from the tank goes to the empty port. Hope some of this helps!
