Problem for American Standard WCZ036F Air Conditioner

Unit shuts off when outside temp drops and will not come back on

the model #dct030f1m0ac this unit seems to work opposite of regular units. When the outside temp drops the unit shuts down and when temp is around 60 it come on. we changed the thermostat and that had no effect. the blowers seem to be going on and off. my friend completed the a/c and refrigeration class and but do not work in the field. He do understand the repair process

Have him trouble shoot the defrost board. Also check the charge of the unit, it may be shutting off from either low pressure or high pressure.

- I am currenlty in the Army National Guard, couldn't let go of the military lifestyle, so I've incorporated it with my career. Let me know what you find, out, perhaps a more experienced, or the instructor can use your issue as a educational benift to your friend. (you may save some money that way;)...)
