Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
I am having problems with my Dell Inspiron 6400 lately. It want boot into Windows OS and it is not booting any recovery CD to the end. The PSA diagnostic program shows 2000:0221 (Interval Timer Channel 0 (mode 0) is not generating interrupts). In addition the extended check display the code 4C00:041C (channel mode 2 is not operating correctly). I have checked the hard drive and it seems okay. What does it mean? How can it be fixed? Has somebody made experience with this problem?
Found a similar post in the DELL forums, seems to be a hardware failure on the system board. http://en.community.dell.com/forums/p/18830946/18953932.aspx#18953932
Strangely seems that Vista is not affected by this as I assume you have XP.
