Question about Belling BE808 Compact Refrigerator
We have a Belling Larder fridge (integrated compact) in the kitchen of our rented house. Whilst we were decorating there, we kept milk and a few little bits of food in it without any problems (full fat milk was ok after a week). Since then a Tenant has moved in & has claimed it is not working correctly as it is not cold enough. The settings are 1-7, which she keeps turning down to 4. We have put in a fridge thermometer which is reading 6.c this should idealy be up to 5.c max. When placing the thermometer, we turned setting up to 5/6, however before we had a chance to assess, she had turned it back to 4. Before we spend £200 on a new fridge - is it reasonable to expect her to turn it up and if she does, is it likely to correct the problem? Thanks for your help.
I would check to see if the heater is working? It would behind the plastic back wall of the freezer. if its all frozen up and ice all over, get a hair dryer and melt ice and get a new heating element. cost is about 50 dollars
