Question about Okidata 421 Printer - Factory

1 Answer

I've just run mailing labels with one of our Okidata Microline 420/421 printers and have a label stuck under the roller that I can't get out. How does the roller come out of this for cleaning? It keeps jamming up my regular paper now. Kris

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My dot matrix printer won't stop printing when it runs out of labels

Sounds like the media detect sensor is jammed or broken. Remove the platen and check underneath to make sure a label has become stuck over the sensor which would trick the printer into thinking it always has media.

Label stuck on a roller?

Looks like label stuck on the toner cartridge. Easiest solution would be to replace toner cartridge or if you can slowly spin the OPC drum on toner cartridge till you find label NOTE: damage to the OPC drum with affect print quality as well as oil from fingers will affect PQ( print quality)

If it is not the ribbon, you may have to replace the print head.
