I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 and I charge it, it has the yellow light on, right? When the yellow light turns OFF, that means it is fully charged.
Except when I pull it out and use the battery in the camera, it has only charged less than 1/4 - so much so, that it runs out of battery almost immediately. This has been doing this for about a week...I have NEVER charged my battery before my camera has died completely, meaning that I haven't shortened the life span of my battery at all; and yet, this is happening. Please help!

Did you cleaning the contacts on charger, If so then go to a camera store with your battery and charger and try there battery in your charger, Then you can narrow down the problem, I think your charger is bad. TC

Most probably Battery has lost ability to store charge. Charge a new battery on same charger
or try this battery on other but same model charger just to confirm existing battery charger is ok or not.

SOURCE: Battery charger(BC-11L)

Your Battery is faulty and requires replacment.

Depending on where you are and if it is still within the new warranty period or not depends on how long or how much it will cost to replace the battery. Call the Distributor for Casio in your State or Country and they may even send you one out Free Of Charge.

I am posting an answer to my own question... I called Casio Customer Service and gave them the model # and problem. They instantly sent me out a brand new battery. Turns out they have had a lot of problems with these batteries and will replace them absolutely free of charge.

NIKON MH26 BATTERY CHARGER BLINKING GREEN LIGHTS

A blinking green light means the charger is charging the battery. A steady green light (same LED) means that charging is complete. If the light never stops blinking and we assume that your charger is working correctly, you may have a defective battery. Rechargeable batteries do not last forever. After a few years, there ability to take and hold a charge declines. It may be time to buy a new battery.

The charger of Dsc-t5 is blinking

Hi,

The supplied charger normally lights while charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged. If the battery charger is blinking, then issue may be with the battery not getting charged. I suggest that you try using a different battery and check if the issue is with the battery.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Welcome to FixYa.

Red light indicates that the battery is charging. The light will goes off to inform you the charging is complete. Possible that the battery was alreay damaged since you left it charging overnight. Charging time is approximately 5 hours only.

I suggest that you have to replace your battery with a new one.

Is the red light on the charger suppose to stay on or blinking for the battery to charge?

It is supposed to stay on. If it is blinking then your battery has gone completely dead. You can force the charger to charge the battery by applying a voltage (AA battery w/ wires worked for me) across the charging terminals while inserting the battery. You'll have to take the charger apart for this.

The blinking light indicates a charging error. Try connecting a 9 volt battery to your camera battery. Sometimes if the battery has lost all charge, the charger doesn't recognize it properly.

Battery charger flashing red light

Clean contact points of both battery and charger with q-tips dipped in rubbing alcohol. This solved my problem with blinking lights and not charging of the batteries.
