If the computer says its the problem with the cartridges its quite possible that the cartriges may be faulty.there is a circuit on the cartridges it gets short any time due to many reasons.we can say when it will get short as it can work for 1 year without any problem or can get short in 1 day.it gets short due to moisture collected on the circuit.sometimes cleaning the brown dotted circuit on the cartridge resolves the problem if this is due to any dirt stuck up on the circuit.or the cartridges has to be replaced to solve the problem.

Occassionally, if the left side panel appears closed, the sensor will still remain in the open position, generating this error. Pushing the sensor will shut the door tight, returning the printer to the normal mode.

Hi

Well it is nothing but to change the region of the printer. hence remove all the cartridges and remove the power supply first.

1. Hold # & 9 key on the keypad
2. Connect the power back to the printer
3. It will say NVRAM init.
4. It will ask for the Region select what you want.
5. And continue to work

OR

Goto setup menu in printer and change the region.

Regards

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Cannot Solve My Ink Cartridge Error!

You should run a "clean printer cartridge". You should be able to access the clean cartridge feature by going to windows control panel...selecting printers...then right clicking on your printer. Select properties...then dig around until you find the maintenence or clean head option.

Hp 1300 series horizonal bars onprints please help

Print heads on the printer cartridges are dirty/clogged. Try running a few cleaning cycles. If there is no change simply change the cartridges. If printing photos let the machines know that's what you're trying to do, it will overlap passes with the print head to hide lines.

Try removing the printer then reinstalling it. If you have a disc. I think they have discontinued driver downloads for HP PCS 1300 and 1400. Do not remove it if you do not have an installation disc.
