Check and replace its main power regulator board. Before replacing it, check the fuse, can be located on this board itself.

My Vizio TV won't turn on

does it have power? check for the power led indicator if it lits up. Look for signs on the power cord if it has some exposed wires. If you have a multimeter reader check for continuity problems.

Hi, i am having problems with my TV since day

Hello sir Ibsen,

The first thing I suggest is to check the power cord and its connection if the light indicator on the front of TV won't turn on..Used multimeter or volt meter (range to AC) to measure the voltage..If no voltage, replace the power cord because the cord have internal wire break or open connection that can't visually check..

If the power cord is good, the possible problem is power supply board inside..
2_21_2012_1_52_43_pm.jpg
It cost $89.95 to this site http://www.shopjimmy.com/lg-6871qih001a-power-supply-unit.htm
But before you decided to replace the power supply board please try to reset or reconnect all connectors on all boards inside specially on power supply unit..

Also I remind you when the TV already open the warranty will void...

If you more queries and clarification please feel free to reply to this tread..

Hope this solution will be helpful..Thanks for using fixya marketplace and choosing my service..

Wharfedale LCD2710HDAF no power to tv, checked cable and changed fuse a few times, new power lead? or is this a common problem?

Hi.

The power cord must be checked using a multimeter. The test is done reading impedance (ohms) between plug's prongs and contacts to TV power board.

If the power cord is OK and there is no power, then the problem is the power board inside the TV.

Regards.

Ginko.

It won't turn on

hi; try to check the power cord ,
if power cord has no problem it has standby light coming from the TV
when no light or dead set. there a fuse blown on the power supply section.
if there's standby light wont start , even if you press the power button , it has a power supply failure, maybe some capacitor ha bloated or change the value, try to watch this http://www.youtube.com if you know how to solder, or even disassemble the back of LCD TV. if not try to call a repair technician. thanks ,, hope this help.........

I would try the power cord first. You can use a cord that works with a computer desk top. It's the same. If the new cord does not fix the set then you are likely to have a blown fuse. You can trace the fuse to the power supply via the power cord. The power supply is inside the set taking the back off. If the fuse is good you will have a bad power supply. Do a google, ebay or shopjimmy.com search with your model number to get price and availibility. Be sure to match up the numbers of your board with the new one.
