When I look at the titles of the songs on my mp3 player it is in a language that looks Chinese and there is not even a Chinese language option on the device. What is wrong with this stupid Emerson 4gb mp3...

Use a paperclip or pin to push the RESET button located on the back of the MP3 player. Once you've done that, select ENGLISH as the language under the SETTINGS menu.

Loading music

There is an alternative to loading song onto your friends mp3 players like all players.

Many people find it difficult to sync there mp3 with windows media player, because it can be very annoying.

To get around this, First: Connect the mp3 player to your computer.

Next, got to my computer.

You should see the mp3 player in there as a removable disk,

Right-Click on the removable disk and select "explore"

This will open a window showing all unhidden files/folders in the mp3 player.

Leave the window open,... next find the music you want to add to the mp3 on your computer.

Windows Media Player music can be found in the my music folder.

Once you have discovered the music you want to add to the mp3 player, go to the mp3 player folder (removable disk).... there should be a folder in there labeled music.

From here on it's just a simple drag and drop process.

Select all the music file you want on the mp3 player from the my music folder, and move them inside the music folder found on your mp3.

Hope this help <(^_^)> thanxx

Wont work!

Sounds like a DB corruption. First, back up your songs if you don't already have a back up. You can do this by connecting the Philips to the PC and back up your songs by double-clicking on My Computer, double-clicking on the Philips icon (some computers may not say "Philips" - they will call the mp3 player a "Removable Drive"), and double-clicking the music folder. Create a temporary folder on your desktop, and drag the music files over to the temporary folder.

Once all of your songs are backed up, update the firmware for your player by downloading the most recent version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips' website (make sure you get the one for your exact model), and clicking on the Update tab.

You should be good to go after that.

Sync probs

Use Windows Media Player to do your transferring with that particular player.

The format of your songs could also be wrong - use Mp3 only. No wma's, and no iTunes. WMA's will work, but not without issues and qualifications.

Cant hear music

Make sure the songs are in the right format. Also, the SYS folder was the wrong folder to put the songs in. Just use Windows Media Player like the manual suggests - it will make life easier.

Cant transfer limewire music from my computer to my mp3

The Limewire music is located in your My Computer> C:>Documents & Settings Folder>Administrators Documents (your name)>Shared Folder. You can manually drag these files from this folder onto your device, located under My Computer>Device Name (there may or may not be a music folder, you should put it in there if there is). Once you drag & drop the files, you should safely disconnect your device, then you are done. Best of Luck.

I need to put nusic on my mp3 but i am technologically retarded.

You can manually drag and drop the music onto the device thru My Computer. Just open up the folder containing your music, probably My Music. Open a second window My Computer>Device Name. Inside you will see a music folder, just drag the music from your My Music folder into the Music folder and viola, youre done. Best of Luck.
