KENMORE DRYER JUST STOPPED HEATING UP WHAT CAN I DO TO REPAIR IT?

Replace the Heating Element. The heating element is usually located behind a panel on the back. To replace you will need to remove the back cover of the dryer, then locate the heating element. The heating element is screwed into place and is easy to unscrew and replace. Be sure to have the dryer unplugged while doing this.
Here is the part for it:

The dryer operates but does not produce heat. i think it is the heating element but i can not get in to the back of the dryer to check. i would like to get a service manual so i can check the element

1 Unplug the power cord from the electrical socket.
2 Remove the screws located around the edges of the back panel of the DVLR223 dryer. Move the back panel away from the cabinet.
3 Push the idler pulley away from the belt to loosen the belt tension. Remove the screws on the panel behind the dryer drum. Remove the panel.
4 Remove the four screws located on the underside of the top panel. Lift the top panel off of the cabinet.
5 Lift the drum up through the top of the cabinet and set it aside.
6 Unplug the electrical wires connected to the heating element assembly. Remove the old heating element from the DVLR223.
7 Insert the new heating element where the old one was previously located. Plug the electrical wires into the heating element assembly.
8 Replace the drum inside the dryer cabinet. Replace the top panel and the four screws that go on the underside of it.
9 Replace the panel behind the drum. Replace the screws that hold it in position.
10 Reposition the back panel onto the DVLR223. Replace the sheet metal screws around the perimeter of the back panel.

unplug dryer....if you take the top back panel off, there should be six screws and look in the top left hand corner there should be a schematic for the dryer. All appliances have then located in this area, unless someone has took them out. Hope this helped Tim

LER4634EQ2 whirlpool electric dryer. heating element, thermal cut-off, and high limit are all getting continuity, but heating element still will not heat up.

I know this might sound stupid but try this. Find your fuse box, locate the breaker that runs your dryer. Flip it off and then back on. If i'm correct, it will work. Everything on your dryer works off of one leg of the 220v. The other leg goes to the other side of the element. If you have a meter. check for 220v at the plug. Everything you listed is what makes the dryer heat other than the thermostats. Check the cycling thermostats like you did the other pieces. They look like the thermal cut off. They have two wires and they are round.

It's the Thermal Cutoff device. Mine stopped working after exactly 1 year. (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=3094244).

Changing heating element on a frigidaire dyer

If you dryer lint screen is located at the top of your dryer your heating element is going to located at the rear of your dryer. You will need to remove the back of the dryer to get to it. You will see a housing and the element is located in there. If you lint screen is located in the door when you open the door then your heating element is located in the front. This one is easier to get to. Simply remove the bottom panel under the door and you will see the heating element right at the front on the right hand side. Make sure you unplug the dryer before working on it. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and also please let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck and glad to help.

Whirpool twin thin no heat

Make sure you have 220 volts first at dryer. Heating element is on back of dryer. You'll need a test meter to see what's wrong unless you can see broken wire in element itself. Thanks, please leave feedback or contact me again for more info if you need it.

Dryer doesn't dry

TAKE THE BACK OFF OF THE DRYER AND CHECK AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE POWER COMING TO THE ELEMENT WITH DRYER RUNNING IF SO THEN CHECK THE ELEMENT WITH A OHM METER AND SEE IF IT IS BROKEN, IF NOT MAKE SURE THAT THE THERMO DISK IS CLOSED WITH THE OHM METER, IF IT IS THERE IS PROBABLY A THERMO FUSE UP ON THE ELEMENT CAN THAT IS BLOWED.
