Nothing appears in the monitor

Even before i install my HDD, the BIOS of my motherboard appears even without the HDD. Just after i've installed it on my system, the monitor doesn't show any details from my motherboard - i mean nothing really appears. My monitor only blinks its light in red and the lights on my CPU appears in red as it is reading something

Display Problem with Intel 845GVSR MB : My computer running on Intel 845GVSR MB with 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor and 768 MB RAM and 80 GB HDD . When I start the computer nothing appears on...

Reset the CMOS setup after putting the battery. You have 768MB RAM. So check with the alternate memory module with different slots. If not helpful, check the RAM with another PC. Lastly get the BIOS updated or motherboard repaired from component level motherboard repairer. You may have damaged the motherboard by putting undue pressure while plugging the connectors.

Soyo SY-P4VGA bios. how do i get it and how do i install it without video.

To get the bios you'll need to buy a bios chip from the net, im sure their are site flooding around if you google them. For installing a bios without a video card or a monitor connected. Im not sure if that would be easy. Or even possible if you dont have any certification as a professtional PC tech.

Intel Desktop D845PEBT2 could not boot up

i,d suggest that the power cut may have been a surge or spike.

This May have blown your power pack, and caused possible motherboard Damage.

** Did you use the same lead for the PSU** and have you checked the (main fuse in the Plug ? )
If the monitor light remains orange, this is a possible graphics card fault, or driver that is not allowing the monitor to come out of standby mode. You could try installing a different graphics card, or swapping the monitor cable to the on-board graphics card if it has 1.
If none of the above works, assume the motherboard has suffered damage.

Problem with sata HDD probably?

check the bios settings first. if you can see your sata hdd and dvd rom drive then you can install it with no problem. or else try to replace the cables of the hdd if the hdd is not showing up in the bios.
also check that the hdd is set to master drive and dvd also set to master as they are on different connections.

Hi there
VIA K8M800 is an AMD platform motherboard and should pick up the sata drive. Connect the drive to the motheboard, make sure that both leads are connected, go into the bios and set the bios to default settings, hit F10, save and exit, the machine will restart, go back into the bios and check to make sure its been picked up by the system.

Installing 750GB SATA on Asus A8N-E Mobo

Hello there.

I would not update the BIOS unless you are experiencing any problems. Try installing the new hardware first and then if you do experience problems, think about upgrading the BIOS. The latest version is 1013 FYI.

The new hardware should be supported without a BIOS update, as long as you have Service Pack 2 in Windows XP or above then all your 750GB will be shown. As for the memory you should see it list the new size in the POST screen before Windows even loads, or inside Windows.

If you do have problems, then please post back and we can help.

Hope this helps.

if you cannot access the bios at all even after a cmos clear, then bios chip is damaged, unless you can and are able fit another one you will have to replace the motherboard
