You unit has a ptc relay on the compressor. It needs to be replaced. If you need tech. advice get back with me but it's pretty straight forward. Unplug frig and take the black cover off compressor. There will be the relay. When you go into the parts house ask for a 3 in 1 they are a lot cheapier. let me know how it goes ken

Hello I have a GE lower freezer model # PDS22SBSARSS AND THE TEMP CONTROL is clicking and the digital readout is doing weird things by indicating wrong temperature and clicking, it stops after awhile...

Roll the refrig out and determine where the clicking noise is comming from. If it is form the small rectangular cover on back, replace the main board (WR55X10942) located under it. If the clicking is comming from the compressor area (at the very bottom, behind the cover which goes all the way across the bottom of the refrig) then replace the relay (WR07X10086) and overload (WR08X10061) located where the wires attach to the compressor, and for good measure, the capacitor (WR62X79 ). (located just to the left of the compressor)

Making humming noise on and off and not cooling

Unplug the refrig and pull the refrig out and remove the lower panel covering the fan and compressor . On the compressor , is a small box ( overload/relay ) with 2 or 3 wires going to it . This part just plugs onto the side of the compressor . Take your complete model number with you so you get the correct part . If you had given the model number here , I could have given you the pt # . Also clean the coils in the front bottom of refrig , of dust , lint , pet hair , etc , as this could have caused the compressor to get hot and short the overload/relay .

Refrig is running, but freezer defrosted and food side seems to be getting warm. Always blew warm air from bottom front, now just cold air.

Sounds like the compressor is not running. Try unplugging for 15 min. to allow compressor to reset. If you hear a clicking noise you may have a bad main board.

Makes a clicking noise and humming when starts up

If your unit is fixed with a high speed compressor and in case you are not using a votage stablizer when ever there is a fluctuation in voltage there could be a click noise from the compressor. Do not frequently open your fridge and slowly the noise will vanish. It tells you that the unit is functioning just like our heart making thud thum thud noise when it functions and nothing to be worried about. It is normal.

Roaring sound

I have had the same issues. I have owned my LFX25960 for 18 months. All the cooling, noise, and condensation problems are related to 2 fans. One for the freezer/refrigerator compartments and One for the Ice Maker. The fans, apparently, are not sufficient to move enough air through the coils located behind a plastic panel in the freezer compartment. The part numbers for my fans are 1. Ice Maker 4681JB1029E and Refrig/Freezer 4681JK1004E. It is not impossible, but fairly difficult to replace them yourself. You have to remove the large slide out freezer drawer and glides. Then work the back freezer panel loose from the bottom. Be careful not to break it. It is plastic.
Routine maintenance: Pull the refrig out from the wall and blow-out the coils and fan located on the lower right rear. You might find it easier to do this by removing the cover on the lower, back of the refrig.
