Hey, Try taking all your pictures from Windows "my pictures" folder and move them somewhere else. I moved them to another folder and just called it Photos. And all of the sudden my camera worked... I have no idea why!
Hope this helps
Open control panel look in scanners and cameras if the camera is listed in there click on it - if it opens a preview picture and works then either you have the wrong software - it is corrupted or there is a conflict.
Is it windows Xp? If then pleasecheck the device manager go to control panel administrative tools and then choose computer management and click on device manager and see if its showing yelllow mark for your webcam or details unknown for hardware.
If you find these things then please reinstall the driver by drivers utility cd .
sounds to me like there are other issues with your windows operating system. run a full diagnostic with norton system works to correct the problem, if it doesnt fix it, then i suggest you return the webcam and get something better :D
There is a utility bar that you can install that lets you change the default application folder:
** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that
folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.
If that does not work then do this:
Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering Technology then Acer E-Recovery - The look at the bottom and you will
"Backup", "Burn disk" and Restore" choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say
extracting) - once extracted - click Install - click Vista or (XP) on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the
right side of the screen, then look for Bison driver or (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) you have then click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions. Then repeat steps above and instead of driver choose Bison (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) Utility
