Secondary dns should be set to "automatic". you should rarely need it.

How do i solve the DNS error 80710102

It seems like the DNS error is generally caused by problems on your ISP's end of the network, but that doesn't mean you can't have a crack at fixing it yourself.

Under your network connection settings try changing the DNS servers to the following numbers (they're free by the way)

Primary DNS 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS 208.67.220.220

Also, try disabling media server connection as well. These simple steps should, in 90% of cases, fix the problem.

I've written a more in-depth guide to the causes of, and solutions to the DNS error- check it out here http://searchwarp.com/swa641197-Ps3-Dns-Error-80710102-Troubleshooting.htm

Wii nintendo trying to upgrade it but keep keeping error code 32002, please help

Usually this is a high network traffic error or possibly a connection error your side with your wireless signal. One thing you could try is changing the wireless channel your router is on.

Hope this helps

Error code 32002 when trying to get updates to allow access to wii shop, how to resolve?

Error Code: 32002 The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection servers could be experiencing a high amount of traffic. Please try your connection again later.
If you have waited several hours and are still unable to connect, there could be an issue with your connection. Please review the folliwing information:

  • Ensure you have entered the correct DNS into the Wii console's manual settings (link). You can verify this by following these steps:
    1. Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer.
    2. Click "Run."
    3. Type "cmd" into the box and press Enter.
    4. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press Enter.
    5. The Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS (first listed), and Secondary DNS (second listed) information will be displayed. Ensure the information you have entered into the Wii console's Manual Settings appear exactly as displayed.
    6. If you have more than one DNS server listed, try switching the first and second in the Wii's primary and secondary DNS server slots.
  • Try temporarily disabling your router's firewall. *

Dns error

Power off your modem and then power it back on.

If this doesn't work you need reconfigure your PS3 network (regardless of wired or wireless) by using the manual option.

Enter the following DNS addresses: 208.67.222.222 or/and 208.67.220.220
The first set of numbers is Primary DNS
The next set is Secondary DNS

you can get the dns setting by connecting a computor to the broadband the steps are
  1. goto 'start'
  2. goto 'run'
  3. type 'cmd.exe'
  4. in the commmand prompt type 'ipconfig' , it gives all the details about your broadband.
DNS error generaly means that there is nothing wrong with your system but ther must be a problem with your internet provider..

PS3

The way this was resolved for me (and I know someone else mentioned it in an other post here), was to enter the DNS server addresses manually in the PS3 network settings AND use tetertiary DNS server from my ISP as either the primary or the secondary DNS server. Voila... I am upgrading my PS3 software as I write this.... ..btw, this also fixed the similar problem I had with my PSP..
