Unplug the oven. Remove the side cover. the red wires going to the caps have a bare connector. Use an insulated screwdriver and touch the bare connector and the back metal plate at the same time. Be sure to do this to both capacitors. This will render the over safe to work on.

Where is the transformer located on a turbochef tornado

There are 2 hv transformers. If you take the right side cover off, they are towards the top of the unit. I think you need to take the top cover off, as well, to replace them. If you google turbochef tornado, there are very detailed repair manuals available for free. They shouldn't be hard to replace yourself. You might need to replace the capacitor (s) too. If it won't stand up on its own without falling over then good chance that is shot too. Remember to take a picture before you take everything apart, so you know how it goes back together. Remember to unplug!!! :). These are pretty easy to work on yourself. A service call will cost you at least $500 to replace a fairly cheap part. I learned the hard way. Below is a pic of a transformer, capacitor and mag. They were all bad. Eventually a bad mag will ruin your transformer and capacitor. 8ac8c2ce-4199-46ea-9981-2a2ee5dc9570.jpg c10f5a3f-ab72-45d5-94a0-8faed3674ea8.jpg 1f8362be-530d-497c-83d4-1ba6d05c9557.jpg

Why turbochef tornado dont pass to ready to cook and de IR is adjusted to1000F and dont pass to 378 F.

Open right side pannal. Check the signs of arc or burnt wires. If you know how to use DMM the check its resistance if its 14.4 ohms then replace SSR relay. And that's it. Goog to go now MAKE SURE YOU DISCHARGE THE CAPACITORS.

Getting F 5 error on upper oven

Do you have turbochef tornado oven. F5 is related to magnetron thermostat circuit. Note :-oven contain 5000 volts if you know to discharge capacitors then only open the microwave otherwise call tech. When you open right side panel you will see two magnetrons mounted on the two wave guides. On the rear side of the magnetron you will see two thermostat each. It's very big job to open everything and check. Insted. I will show easy fix. You will see two connectors under the middle of two wave guides( at the same vertical location where vertical support rod is present). Use DMM and check the connectivity between two terminals.it should show some resistance. If it shows OL then it means it's bad. Tell me if you reached upto here. I will guide you to replace magnetron thermostat. Thanks Please rate my work

7.Check the amperage. It should be under 14-16 Amps.
8.If its half of the value or nothing comes then.
9 half value means(one magnetron is working
10. No value means F3 fuse blown and check the cause why it blown(physically look at the transformers and the capacitors and the diodes that they didn't burnt or change their shape.

I have an Turbochef NGC oven that keeps tripping the breaker. There are no faults but seems to only trip the breaker when the sausage setting is entered.

Hi,
BEFORE WORKING ON OVEN MAKE SURE YOU TURN IT OFF AND DISCHARGE CAPACITOR.IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEN STOP HERE AND CALL TECHNICIAN.
If you know how to use multimeter than check the resistance of Convenctional heater and the IR element.
CC heater .....not sure how many ohms
IR should be 14 ohms
If both are in specification then replace breaker(thermostat in the oven).
Usually if breaker trips 4-5 times then its good to replace it.

reply me if you need more help
and don't forget to vote me.

This option is only for the people whose primary switch is okay.(Anyone who know how to use multimeter can reply me for solution dealing with electrical system
There are two things you have to do.
1. Door alignment.
Sometimes the door gets mis aligned due to excessive use of oven......because people smack the oven door alot.
FOR ALIGNMENT
MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF OVEN AND DISCHARGED CAPACITORS.(IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DISCHARGE THEN REMOVE THE OVEN PLUG AND WAIT FOR 1 HRS TO DESCHARGE CAPACITORS
1. Remove right side pannel
2. remove all the wires and cables that are connected to controle board which are comming from the controle pannel(the pannel that has display and buttons ).
3. There are two nut (9mm or 10mm) that you have to remove to take apart the front control pannel.
4. Once you remove the pannel, put it aside.
5. Now take out all 4 black caps from the oven door.
6. Ready for alignment
7. Lose all four bolts just give 2 turns to lose(don't lose too much).
8. Tap door at the center and then hold it with one end.Use other hand to tighten the bolts.
Now your door is aligned.
Reinstallation is reverse of removal.
SECOND THING
1. open the left side pannel
2. At the top where the door latches .There is an primary switch which needs to be adjusted.
3. loosen the switch and then retighten by aligning it in correct way.

Thanks
