You should have two types of batteries.
2 CR123A batteries: (lithium)
4 AA batteries (alkaline or nickel-metal hydride)
Never use Nicad batteries. Never use different batteries together. that is for the four AA batteries. They should be the same brand and the same capacity.
The lithium batteries should be the same brand and same date.
Before changing batteries, always switch off the camera.

When you use rechargeable batteries, be sure you did charge them fully, before putting them in the camera.

Battery exhasted problem???

It's the way that the camera reads the "energy left" that is the problem. Not all AA batteries are the same. Basically the default setting is (at least in the UK and US versions) set to ALKALINE AA batteries. If you are getting the "battery exhausted" message after putting new AAs in, chances are your batteries are not ALKALINE. You can either buy some new AA Alkaline specific batteries (eg: Duracell make them and they say specifically alkaline on the side). Or you can try to keep power on long enough to press MENU, then go to the "spanner" tab, then select "Battery Type", and select either Lithium AA if that is what you are using, or NI-MH versions. Stupide NIKON don't tell you this anywhere, and I have already chucked one of their products because of it, when actually it was fine. (Jake, Newcastle, United Kingdom, December 2012).

I have put new batteries in my FinePix A360 camera but it doesn't seem to power on.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Changed batteries in a coolpix l110 and cant get anything to work. No power and lens wont retract. tried everything in manual thus far with no results.

What type of battery did you use with your camera? Is the type your L110 support? Seems your camera use AA batteries, but not all of the AA battery which can put into your camera is OK. many cameras only support Li-ion battery or Alkaline batteries

Ive lost my adaptor to charge my fujifinepix a500 how much will it cost me for another one

Since the A500 uses Alkaline AA or rechargeable AA sized batteries, you can purchase an aftermarket battery charger for between 8-15 dollars at the local electronics houses.
You can also swap over and use AA alkalines without any issue.

Needs recharging

AA (4) batteries (NiMH recommended). Walmart sells a recharger for AA batteries. Buy the NiMH type as they last WAY longer than your typical alkalines. If you don't use the camrea for a while top off the charge. If you keep spares charged and they sit for about a month - top them off too.

Fuji Finepix s700

I recommend to all my customers with AA battery life issues to try Energizer Lithium AA's. Virtually all battery issues solved. I think alkaline batteries are being manufactured poorly, these days, so even brand new they aren't great.
