Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

1 Answer

The screen is half black and half white

Alright so my friend told me she's having problems with her mp3 player. She told me the LCD screen is white on top and blank on the bottom, and that she can only read things on the top half, but theres white lines sunning through it. And theres a big black line in between them. She also said she might of gotten a little bit of snow in or on it. She has tried drying it and turning it off and back on, but nothing seems to work. I just think the screen is broken and needs replaced. Does anyone have any better ideas?

I have a 30GB ipod video that was recently repaired due to a damaged LCD. before it was damaged, it has a normal white appearance on the screen like you see on well functioning ipods. now it has a black...

Go to Settings and then to brightness.
Adjust the brightness setting.
It actually sounds like you have a bad LCD.
Possibly return to whoever fixed it and get another LCD

Lcd screen shows white screen and black marks

you can fix the problem by having the original sansa files when you format it it deletes everything
get a friends sansa files or do this
and just because it would be a pain looking for the original files i uploaded here for people who deleted them put these files into a folder named

REFS--no files

and put them in into 1 folder named SYSTEM--make it hidden then put it on sansa

then create a music folder make it hidden

then create photo folder with thumbnail and my album folder make my album hidden

then create pictures folder make it hidden

then create playlists folder make it hidden put this file in it

make a record folder with 2 folders named radio and voice

make a folder video

captilize all these except the one listed below

make a tmp folder

this should work :)
