Yes there is a thermal fuse mounted on the blower housing duct. it is about 1 inch in length and white with 2 wires on it. if the dryer overheats for any reason this will fail.
make sure the lint filter is cleaned every load and the exhaust vent is clean and not pinched off behind the unit. venting is the most common problem to cause these to fail.
you can get to this by removing the lower access panel and then the blower duct. that will give you easy sight of the thermal and makes it easy to replace.
by the way unplug the unit first!!

Why would my older Maytag Neptune Electric dryer suddenly quit? Interior light comes on when door opened, but when I press start, it shudders but doesn't tumble or start?

if thermal fuse ok you may have a problem with your interface board. Check thermal cut out, door switch and thermal fuse before suspecting board. Obviously need model to give you more accurate info.

If the dryer inside light comes on can the thermal fuse ok

No relations at all......

Light comes on means there is power and your door is open.

Thermal fuse failure means there is no heat. No current going through your heating circuit. Most models and brands will still turn the drum without heat. But there are some models thermal fuse will completely shut the power to heating circuit and drum motor. Like KENMORE certain dryers made by Whirlpool corporation

Kitchenaid Model Keys750GQ0 light come on and the timer running push the door switch light turn off check power fine at 220V Please help Thanks in advent

Unplug dryer and try bypassing the thermal fuse by taping the two wires together and plug back in and try to start. If starts replace thermal fuse.

My Whirlpool dryer(supreme) does not start. The timer switch, door switch, start switch can all be heard to electronically switch on and off when I turn the timer around and open and close the door....

the thermal fuse may be faulty. Remove the outer back of the dryer. the thermal fuse is located on the blower assy with 2 wires connected to it. It is white plastic. connect the wires together, then try to start the unit again. If the unit starts, clean the exhaust duct after replacing the thermal fuse.

Dryer does not start - Thermal Fuse is ok.

Good to know, when the appliance does not start at all is always thermal fuse, wiring, door lock switch, or rarely the control assembly.

Have a nice day.

Whirlpool LER5644EQ2 Electric Dryer that won't start

Regarding model LER5644EQ2, here is a link to a parts website complete with an assembly drawing and parts list. In all probability, you have a blown thermal fuse and that will need replacing http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php
Item #23 on the drawing .. a quick test would be to ( with power removed or disabled) measure the resistance across the two terminals and it should not be an open circuit or it is blown. The drawing shows exactly where it is and the parts list shows the item number/ cost and where to buy a replacement. Hope this helps..

Regarding model number is YLEQ5000PW1, you may have the same problem with your thermal fuse.. the parts website does not show a detailed darwing of your model but it should be similar to the other one I've cited in the location and thermal fuse.. The link I am sending is for the parts list for your washer and the thermal fuse.. http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php

Let me know if that isn't the problem and we can look at other ways to zero in on a solution..
Hope this helps...
Regards...
