Question about Toshiba Satellite P100 Notebook
Last week my P100 PSPA3E suddenly had problems when I restarted the WIN XP. display was black, no backlight, Harddisk was running, I think windows started correctly, when I inserted my passw. I could hear accoustic signal of windows start (lights were normally on). When I shuted down the system and waited for some hours at least over night, it was possible to make one start with display coming.Display showed no errors, verything seemed to be fine but restart made the same problems as discribed. So I tried to plug in an external monitor to the AVI and later on to the DVI port - no reaction - external TFT says no signal and goes to sleep modus. Switching the Fn + F5 or Fn + other F functions takes no effect. So I decided to flash the bios with the latest version from Toshiba homepage, everything was well done, same problem at restart. So I uninstalled the nvidia grafic driver and installed the latest version from Toshiba homepage. One normal start was possible, this morning only the backlight was on but display showed
nothing. Windows start ok. At restart no reaction from display, everything stays black. When laptop is turned off I also remove the battery and set it in before restart. The only thing I am missing at start
is the sound of switching the display on.
Hi, ok clearly for the symptom of what describes modal to his portable , I understand that the fault of his equipment comes from the card of video, which not this on board but it is separated, if the problem that he presents also happens for the VGA port and for the DVI port, this indicates that the problem that his equipment presents into in the system board.
