I didn't use my My GX110 PC for about six months, and now when i try to start it, it doesn't start. Initially when I tried starting the system, there was a contniuos blinking of yellow and green light (like you get in disco's) but now there's a solid yellow light and some times I get 4-5 beep sound. I tried changing the microprocessor, mother board battery and RAM (256 MB, 133 mhz) and also removing the expansion card, but it didn't help. The green light on motherboard and expansion card lights up and also the CDrom works fine (ejects and closes normally), processor fan also rotates normally, but hard disk beep is not there. Keyboard and mouse never lights up. LAN lights up for a sec at the start and then goes off. Please advice. Thank you Sukhjender

Try pressing F2 or Del to get into bios and see if the system time and date are correct. if not the cmos disc shaped battery found on the motherboard may need replacing. You can also reset the bios by locating the 'JBAT1' terminal on the mobo and put the jumper cap from pins1-2 to pins 2-3 for a few seconds, then back across pins 1-2 again, and reset time and date next time you boot up the pc. Although, i recon the continues beep noise can refer to a processor fault but trying the above is the cheaper first step to take, good Luck

Thank you Sandrew, but the problem is there is no display, so I can't get into BIOS, (Though I will try resetting the jumpers) and the beep sound is not always, its only occasionally, or when I remove all the power supply completely (like remove the power cord from mains and from UPS) and than put the supply back that I get those beep sound and disco-type blinking on my CPU. and then if I reset the computer it goes back to solid yellow colour with no beep.
