Power point unfortunately does not come standard with windows. Power point is a feature of Microsoft office, which is sold separately from computers. In other words, to get power point, you will have to purchase a version of Microsoft office. I would recommend getting the 2007 or later version.

This could be lots of things (bad HD, bad Mother board, bad RAM,etc...) first you need to narrow down the possible cause, open the computer, take out every thing that can be unplugged (I MEAN EVERYTHING) RAM, PCI cards, VIDEO cards, all storages HD, CD ROM, etc... just leave the CPU and power supply plugged in, than power up the computer and listen for BEEP's if you hear a series of BEEP's this means the CPU, power supply and mother board are GOOD, than (with power OFF each time) re-install the components you taken out (ONE at a time) to see which device causes the system crash... I've seen a modem card causing a system mall function once rediculous but true...
to be able to open and make power point files you have to install the word software in your computer ..or at least the power point ..If you have the possibility I would recommend the office word 2007 ..but it is on license and it has issues even when you buy it.. so .the fast solution is to install power point alone ..or if you have word..look in the start ..all programs ..Microsoft word..and see if you already have power point if not..download this one ..it is a viwer that will allow you to view and open all power point files even the ones with password..but not to edit them .. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=048dc840-14e1-467d-8dca-19d2a8fd7485&displaylang=en to beable to edit you have to install the word ful version ..
First off, you need to have a copy of PowerPoint Installed.
If you do, then in most cases you can click Start / All Programs / Microsoft Office / and click Power Point.
If you don't have powerpoint you can get the free powerpoint viewer to VIEW the slideshows without having powerpoint installed.
If you need to open a powerpoint slideshow and don't own microsoft office you will have to purchase a copy from almost any computer store.
If you have to make a slide show and don't have Microsoft Office you can always use the FREE OpenOffice software that can open most MS Office documents and has all the same features as MS Office.
open my computer local drive - program files - microsoft office - office 11 - look for power point if have make a shortcut on desktop if no then next step

Download "FoxIT reader" works better than Adobe reader to open the attachments.
You need to reinstall office to repair Powerpoint or you can go to Microsoft's website and download "ppviewer"
