Assuming the washer fills and drains, then I would suggest that the brushes are probably in need of replacement in the motor.
It is the first thing to check

My laundry center washer will not turn on or fill or anything .the motor trys to start and kicks out after a second even when its not turned on.the motor gets red hot when I turn the power on. thanks

Something in the drive train is preventing the motor from spinning up and is causing the motor to have too much current go thru it - hence the real hot condition. Do not turn motor on till you find the issue lest you burn out the motor windings!

Get rid of the obstruction and you have resolved the problem. Look for a stuck sock or something in the drive train gumming up the works.

What does it mean when a washing machine motor hums and does not move until you push it?

Disconnect the power locate the motor. Remove the belt. Try turning the motor by hand that's a turn kind of hard lubricate both spindles with some WD-40 maybe even some penetrating oil then turn it as you spread if it loosens up you know it was a lubrication problem if not then you have to replace motor or the bel remove the belt. Motor humswhen turned on. Removed pump and rotated motor shaft, put back together and worked but made a loud clicking noise. turned off and tried to turn back on again. Motor just hums as if something...

I was going to mention the coupling, since that is new, then I would suggest motor brushes or new motor. As long as you are getting sufficient power to the motor. about minimum of 12-13.5 volts

The barrel in our LG front loading WD won't turn.

Carbon Brushes on the motor worn down

Pulley loose on the motor or Drum Pulley

Motor control pcb failing to supply enough power to activate the motor

Take your pick !!

Whirlpool cabrio washer has stoped during the draining cycle and now just buzzes, can not turn off or get it to start back

sound like a stuck motor you should check it out and see if the motor turns these motors have cheap bushbearings that wearout once they waer out to a certain point the motor stator phisicaly touches the side of the motor and once magnetizm turns on it sticks to the side and buzzes but does not turn cuz its stuck!

because of the grinding noise your talking about it sounds like the motor bearings are bad which would require motor replacement. but, thats normally not what cause the " not completly turning problem" your having. general thats cause be the motor speed control not sending the proper power to the motor. remove the belt and turn the motor by itself to see if the noise is really come from the motor and not the back of the tub. if it is the motor, replace the motor. if it coming from the back of the tub the replace the motor speed control. the noise coming from the back of the tub would just be the ball bearings and they do make some noise on this model but you wont hear it when the washer is running
