I am sorry, there is nothing to fix. The answer is perfectly correct. 62250/1450=439310344828
I think you meant to divide 65250 by 1450, the result of which is 45.

SOURCE: My TI-84 Plus gives answer as 2.145274703E14, what Is E?

E is the calculators form of scientific notation. so 2.145274703E14
is really 2.145274703 x 10^14 or 214527470300000

SOURCE: on my TI 83 plus my sine cosine and tangent

Alot of people seem to be having this problem. Angles can be measured in two units, degrees and radians. Your calculator is currently doing everything in terms of radians. I have an 84 but I'm sure the 83 is similar, go under MODE and look for Degrees and Radians and make sure you choose degrees. if you have to convert, 360[degrees] = 2* pi [radians]
(easy to remember, 360deg in a circle, 2pi radians in a circle)
Good luck

SOURCE: I ask my TI-83 Plus to calculate (-64)^(3/2)

You're both right, in a way. (-64)^3 is -262144. The square root of that is +/- 512i. Take your choice as to the sign.

For what it's worth, the TI-84, TI-86, TI-89, and the HP 50g all go with the negative value.

SOURCE: My TI-83 plus seems to

That is the correct answer. 60 multiplied by 24 is 1440. 1400 divided by 1440 is a number slightly smaller than 1.

Are you sure the problem isn't 1440/(60*24)?

TI-83 Plus ( finding linear regression) gives wrong y-intercept (b=) value sometimes. Please tell me why?

I get the same answer. Is b wrong? When I do it in Excel I get b= -2E+06, which is -1 797 322.99 rounded to the millions, in scientific notation.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck,

Paul

Gives wrong answer for power function

You should learn about scientific notation. The two values are the same, just written differently.

I'm trying to find the fraction button on my texas instrument ti 83 plus calculator and cannot find it

There is no "fraction" button on the TI-83 plus. You will have to press the divide key (2 buttons below the CLEAR key) and then use the parentheses (immediately to the left of the divide key) to tell the calculator the correct order of operations. For example, "1/3x+9" means ".333333x+9", but "1/(3x)+9" means the "x" goes on the bottom of the fraction.

What do I do to get the fraction 5/8 on my TI-83 Plus calculator?

Just put in (5/8) and that will tell the calculator to that first then when done with the problem you press {math} then press {Frac} and it will give your answer back in a fraction

Wrong answer with squared negatives.

Your calculator will square a number before it applies the negative sign, so what you're actually doing is squaring 2, then applying the - sign to your answer. You need to put the -2 in parenthesis, so (-2)^2. That will give you 4. Hope this helps!
