When I took apart my vacuum it was hard to fit, but after making sure all the dirt was gone, and made sure it was in the grooves before I screwed the screws in the power head it fit pretty well.

How to dismantle a Kambrook KBV30 vacuum for servicing? Does it require a special tool?

Nope, just a screw driver. The key are the covers for the handle. Just pry them apart from the body. Then you can access the screw holes that hold the two body parts together. Took mine apart as the motor sparks a lot and you can smell loads of ozone. Seems like the coals that connect the power to the motor are broken or unevenly burned away. Rest seems fine will try to replace the coals.

Hope this helps

HOOVER STEAM CLEANER PROBLEM

The soap dispenser is supposed to be attched to the water tank. That grey piece, if it is round with 2 small ears on it is the metering plate, it controls the flow of water. It sits on the table that the tank sits on, insert it into the hole and turn to lock it in place.

Bissell 1697w Powersteamer

I have a similar model and occasionally have problems with water/detergent flow. I find it is generally due to an airlock in the piping caused by forgetting to turn the deregent water control off before removing the detergent container. Follow the manual instructions. Turn the knob to off. Fill both containers. locate them carefully. Make sure filters in the water tank and in the flow meter are clear. Start machine with handle laid flat and knob turned to maximum flow.
