i've bought sims 2 double deluxe, installed fine, showing no problems, the games loads fine and starts working fne but when creating a family (which is one of the main parts of game!) it states its loading then decides not to respond..checked manager and shows not responding so i had to end programme. this happens everytime i go to make a family. i have a feeling it may have something to do with the video card in my laptop, i have an ASUS X58L series. vista. the game is brand new, no scratches. other games have installed and playng fine. is it a faulty game or...?

-   i have the exact same problem how do i tell what graphics card i have i just changed my 1gb to a 2gb but wen i check on the manager the gb is fin but the cpu goes up to a hundred and thn my sims 2 crashes . what do i do .... ???
also my laptop is brand new only had it a week .-   Uwatchm3x

if the game is brand new its not the game. the most likely reason this happens is because your computers graphics card is not sufficient, what is your graphics cards memory? the brand? model? if you do not know this, how old is your computer? when did you get it and when was the last time you updated your computer with new hardware?
