Question about Belkin F5D7000 802.11g/b (NWBLKF5D7000) Wireless Adapter

Hi there I cannot connect to my talktalk wireless router from my my computer. I was able to do it last week, but now I cannot see the network in the available network window. I can see other netwroks (not mine) but my wireless router. I have tried the following to no avail: - restart the computer - reset the wireless router - run the XP wireless zero configuration - deleted the network and tried adding it back manually I can see the network name (TalkTalke92k) un der Preferred networks in the Wireless Networks tab in the Wireless Network Connection Properties (after clicking Properties of my Wireless Network Connection). But there is a red cross shown on the icon and there is nothing I can do to link to the network. I have two other laptops in the house and they all lik up to the wireless network fine. My pc has a Belkin 802.11g network Adapter which I have tried to reconfigure to no avail. Can somebody help please !

    You can have problems with some wireless connectors they do not detect all wireless channels.



    First check if you can that you can access the internet using a network (ethernet) cable



    as I can then instruct how you can change the radio channel which may provide a connection

The router could be in another channel make sure you change it to 11

and check settings on card for b +g

check in router suport b+g or just one of two
if didnt work post

Hello, make sure that you have downloaded the latest drivers for the Belkin F5D7000 from the website... (http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&aid=6001) after you have done this you can try to reset the adapter.

If nothing else works you can try uninstalling any 3rd party belkin software that came with the unit and only use the drivers from the website and let windows controll the Access points.

Cannot access internet wirelessly,Have tried several routers but cannot connect wirelessly, talktalk suggest that there is a problem with my wireless adapter


I faced the same issue and had to change 3 different routers of 3 other brands first of all switch off your router for 10 minutes and then change your ethernet cable (BLUE COLOR CABLE) with a new one also try changing the sides REMEMBER its a cable that connects from your MODEM to your WIRELESS ADAPTER !! and then switch on your ADAPTER (WIRELESS ROUTER) and wait for 10 last minutes :)

1) Reset the router then the xbox.
2) If it still does not work, Change the security code for your wireless on your router. Then connect using that security code on your xbox.

Wireless no longer accesses router


OK try this go to that PC, go START>>RUN>>service.msc (enter) Now when services window comes up, scroll down to DHCP, set to OFF & Disable, reboot, now try again. Sometimes just a Turn it ALL OFF, and ON again and most often it will sort itself out., IF it was working OK prior. You could always run the "Connect to internet Wizard" again, and do that. Also go into router and ensure that DHCP, is set to ON in the Router. Sometimes, a simple re-setup will get it all working again too.

Constant red light now on my xbox wireless adaptar after working


my first suggestion is check your setting to make sure everything correct. to be sure re-enter everything if you still have problems. I would then check if the adapter can read your router (this can be done by searching for a signal). if the router is found and can connect but failes connecting to internet your router itself may not be connected. make sure your router can connect by itself and that you can connect to internet through the router from your computer. if all these steps are takin try config your router so it will accept incoming signals and that it has the right security for the xbox to connect.

When i changed my isp from talktalk to sky broadband my dell 1450 adaptor can not connect even though there is a connection via ethernet cable apparently dell say it is a software problem and want to...


When it says 'Conntected: 100Mbps" on the bottom, all it's saying is that you have a physical connection between your computer and the device it's talking to.
Now one thing you need to double check is that (I assume you have a wireless router) the router or whatever device you have connecting to your ISP modem has the correct network information. For example some ISPs will give you a static IP address that you have to manually add to your router. If TalkTalk does that, and Sky doesn't, make sure your router is automatically obtaining an IP address. This should connect you to your ISP and to the internet. Then your DELL machine should get an IP address from your router and then you should be good to go.

Lost internet service on laptop


First, are you wired or wirelessly connected to the router? Is there any computer that is connected to the router aside from the problem one?

If you are wired connected to the router, try connecting the Ethernet cable into different LAN port of the router.

If you are wirelessly connected to the router, try disabling and re-enabling the WiFi of your laptop and try connecting again.

If there's another computer that's connected to the router and it can get online, then the problem is in your computer. Checked the Network properties of the problem computer and make sure that you are getting a valid IP address.

If you have two computers and both of them are not getting online, try connecting first one of the computers directly to the modem. If same problem occur, then contact your ISP.

If you can get online while directly connected to the modem, then turn the Netgear router OFF for about a minute and turn it back on and try again.

You should contact AOL about your talktalk email - it is run and serviced by AOL.

Do you just want to add the WinVista compute to the wireless network?

You can try this steps

1. Make sure that the wireless switch is on, on the WinVista laptop.
2. At the bottom right handside of your screen where you have the time look for the two computer icon, right click it and go to connect to a network. On the screen that will pop-up you will see the wireless networks around you. Just select your network and connect to it.
