Have you cleaned the filter and the filter compartment?

Try that, then unflug it for about 10 min, then plug it up and try it again.

This will reset some units with an auto reset high temp limit switch.

What happens when a filter gets dirty/clogged is that not enough air is blowing accross the heating device. This lets it get to hot and it will shut off for safety to prevent fires.

If everything is clean and after pluging it back up it still gives you that code you may have a bad sensor.

the filter care light comes on when the machine is over heating so the "brain" thinks the lint trap is full , clean the entire venting system, including the outside vent cover and remove any debris , then unplug the machine for a few minutes and see if it resets

No heat. all sencors in back including element check good and have been replaced but still no heat.

I'm sure you've cleaned your lint filter, but you also need to make sure there is no lint blocking the silver dryer hose. Mine gets plugged at the exit from the house and once I remove large amounts of lint, I have heat again. Also, if it's a gas dryer, is your pilot light lit?

No heat, everything else ok. Cooling light is lit. heat settings make no difference

It could be the high limit switch is open. Most of these are non resettable and have to be replaced. Check vent piping and filters for lint that may be clogging the vent system and causing the overheating. Replace the high limit. If that does not solve the problem the element may be burned out.
Hope this helps

Cooling light on?

The cooling light is always on, it flashes when it is in that part of the cycle, sounds like he put it in to a test mode. Was it a thermistor that he changed?
No heat, sounds to me like a thermostat might be blown. Call the guy back, if you haven't already.

Hoover nextra tumble dryer

Please first check if both fuses or the circuit breaker has not tripped.
If you are getting only 120v on one leg of the 140v power, you may get lights and no heat, otherwise please give the make and model.
