The ice dispenser in my TFX22CRXFWW GE Side-by-side freezer/frig has stopped working. The ice maker still works and the water still dispenses, but the button beneath the dispenser does not make ice.
The problem happened gradually. Before the dispenser stopped working, it would work intermittently if we forced the selector lever a little harder to the right. Little by little the "right position" became harder to find until finally it stopped working.
Please help!

I had this problem with a similar refrigerator. The problem was the slide switch burns itself especially if you slide it from ice to water while holding the glass in to get ice and water into your glass. Better to slide it to ice, press the glass in to get ice, release the glass to stop the ice, slide the switch to water, then press the glass in again to get water. I "fixed" mine by removing the control panel and soldering some of the connections on the slide switch together so that we now have no crushed ice function, but the ice cubes work again. You can also replace the circuit board in the control panel to restore it to like-new operation. I could not find a place to order just the slide switch.
Not sure if this is the same problem with your unit, but sounds the same.
