My radio,cd ect. will be playing fine but after a few minutes it will just stop working. The tuner stays lit up so it's not a power problem. I can turn the power off and on but it still doesn't help. I usually have to stop my vehicle and turn the ignition off on my Tahoe and after a few seconds I start over and most of the time it will play for a few more minutes before it does it again, It will even do it sitting still so I don't think that it is a loose wire or something like that. Re: audio will work for a few minutes and goes out
Is the sound what stop working?
If this is the case the problem is in the brain and you will need to do some solder work.
Remove the top cover of the brain and locate 4 surface mount resistors, the number on the resisor are 1R5,you will locate them near to the heatsink, the solder of those resistor are over heating, you just need to resolder them.
I hope this infromation help you to fix your problem.

Are you running the audio through an amplifier? If so, it sounds like you are using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). The power antenna remote turn on turns off when leaving tuner mode, turning the amp off.
Did you ever get this fixed? I'm kind of having the same problem, my radio works but nothing else is. I can hear music on the radio but when I switch to cd or bt (iPhone) ... I hear nothing thought (cd) it recognizes discs and I can see them play but no sound. It played before till one day it stopped. I don't know what changed or was set differently.
are you using more than one amplifier? it sounds like you may be using the blue wire to turn one amp and and the blue/white to turn the other one on. use the blue/white only. the blue wire is antenna remote and turns off when not in tuner mode.
Ok, so I called Crutchfield, where I had purchased the unit, and the guy there said this is a common thing. Believe it or not, it IS the wiring. The guy said the blue wire on the harness needs to be connected to the blue/white wire on the Kenwood unit. Which is weird, since it's usually color-coded. He said the blue wire is a 12-volt amp wire, which works with the tuner, but when you take it off tuner, it kills the 12 volts and so you get no sound.
I haven't fixed it yet to be sure it works, but I thought I'd post this anyway, in case someone else is waiting on this. I'll post again if it doesn't work. :0)
I have the same problem! tuner works just fine. I cant access the dvd mode. i can only access tuner, video input, and rear cam. Ive tried different cds and dvds and it did not help. Also it seems like the ejection mechenism is running continuesly.
