Audio will work for a few minutes and goes out

My radio,cd ect. will be playing fine but after a few minutes it will just stop working. The tuner stays lit up so it's not a power problem. I can turn the power off and on but it still doesn't help. I usually have to stop my vehicle and turn the ignition off on my Tahoe and after a few seconds I start over and most of the time it will play for a few more minutes before it does it again, It will even do it sitting still so I don't think that it is a loose wire or something like that.
