Change the relay, situated in a black plastic box up in front of the battery. Costs about 7 pounds / 11 dollars USD on ebay and takes 30 seconds to do. Until you get it fixed, protect the engine when temp get over, say, 90 degrees celcius, by opening up your side dash vents, turn the in-car fan on max and the temp up to max. The hot air will go directly out the windows and you will see the temp gauge drop back to about 80 degrees. I did this for a year until I figured out the relay needed replacing.

SOURCE: Cool fan low doesn't work. Doesn't appear to be

It needs to have the blower motor resistor card replaced.
It still works on high speed because on the high setting the voltage does not go through the resistor.
The resistor is mounted beside the blower motor and is easy to replace.

Where do I put the coolant in a Vauxhall meriva pleas

Routine topping up of the coolant level takes place in the clear plastic bottle - you will find details in your vehicle handbook.

Refilling an empty cooling system or adding antifreeze needs a different procedure and special care as these cars are prone to airlocks.

I've changed the number plate bulb as Code 24 appeared in my Vauxhall Meriva 2011 Auto 1.7 CDTI, the light is working now but can't get rid of the Code 24 on my dashboard

I would try 2 things,
1, check your replacement bulb has the same values as your old one ie wattage etc.
2, if it is not the bulb disconnect the negative lead from you battery for approx 10mins, then reconnect.
