Turn your set around. Locate the square access panel located on the lower right. Remove the 4 screws. Remove panel. Then push down tab on cooling box, it will look similar to a horn. Lift and remove. Lamp will be visible towards the back. Locate the pull handle,it is made of strong wire and it will be folded sideways. Pull open the handle. Look for screw on the left side of the lamp. It secures the lamp in place. Remove the screw completely. Now pull the handle firmly and voila! The lamp will slide out. To install new lamp just reverse the process. NOTE!!! Do not touch the lamp with bare hands. It will damage it. Wear surgical gloves or handle with a cotton cloth...
it is probably a dlp and it has a lamp in it. You can replace the lamp yourself just be careful when changing it that you do not touch the lamp itself. If you have the owners manual it should tell you how to change it.
I am having the same problem with my PRT50V24D shutting off and blinking lights. After going to viore.com and calling the number listed, I got recording to call another number. When got rep on line I was told it is made by Samsung, Called their tech support and was told that sounds like power problem or bulb getting ready to go. Also if outside of warranty will have to call repair man to see what's wrong. I will have a repair man out next week and will post his results here. Most likely it's the same issue.
