Caller id log reads "empty" even when a call &/or message is left.

Check with the caller to see if they have "blocked" delivery of their caller id information. If the caller has blocked it, the phone cannot see it: some phones log this as "CID info missing" or similar verbage, others simply ignore the event. Good luck!

Seimens Gigaset AL285 BSNL caller ID not working

The source of my caller ID not displaying was a faulty ADSL filter.
For some reason my ADSL filter blocked the caller id information - but worked fine otherwise.
When I changed the filter the caller ID worked fine again.

Can I block calls from coming in

1
Contact your house phone service provider and request Call Screen or Call Blocker. Ask the representative for the activation date for the feature.

  • 2 Pick up your house phone on the activation date and listen for the dial tone. Dial "*60" on the phone's keypad. Rotary phone users should dial "1160" instead.
  • 3 Enter the number to block when prompted by the system. Re-enter the number to confirm that you want to add the number to your blocked callers list. Hang up the phone.

How can I block a caller from calling me.

Depending on your service provider, you can block a call and specify the number to be blocked with hitting (*60). The phone will not ring when that person calls.
Another thing is anonymous call blocking which block well... anonymous calls. =]

HoW DO YOU BLOCK A CALLER ON THE UNIDEN 9480

Call Block is a service provided by your phone carrier. For most providers you dial *60 (star 6 0) and follow the voice prompts. After you have blocked this number, you will not receive any more calls and it will not ring through from the number you blocked. The phone device itself does not have that capability. Only your service provider.

The phone system isn't blocking calls, your phone company is.

Try *87 or *68 and see if that works. You dial it into line #1.

Anonymous Call Rejection is the telco feature.
