SOURCE: Faint sound when watching TV with Bose GSX 321 System

I connected my surround sound to the audio output on my samsung tv and it works fine. Of course I don't have an hdmi input on my surround sound system because its an older model, but it works great. Just got to put the surround sound to audio instead of dvd or tuner setting

SOURCE: Bose 3-2-1 GSX series II

Hello there, as you stated earlier Bose products are proprietary in nature and although quite a number of people have tried to get this done but none has been successful from all my searches. Bose in their proprietary nature have ensured that the unit comes with a different memory system as opposed to the Sata Disc which is evident in most units and therefore the likelihood of getting a memory system which would fit into the system is zero. They have also ensured that the firmware which is needed to make the system work is not available for download let alone installation on a new memory system. Also please do not open your unit unless it is out of warranty. Sorry for any inconveniences. Hope this support has been helpful?

The DVD Disney's A Christmas Carol/Jim Carrey will not play on my 3-2-1 Bose 3 2 1 GSX System. I thought it was the disc at first, but returned and go another new one. Even tried multiple other copies...

Talked with a BOSE rep and they said it is a laser reading/tracking issue at their end (BOSE) and the way the dvd is made at Disneys' end and it is not going to work in their system. Had the same problem worked fine in an older dvd player

then the video can be read.

Connecting ipod to Bose lifestyle 48

I have a Lifestyle 48 and called Bose today. It is possible all you need is a cord that is a 35mm headphone jack on one side and RCA jacks on the other. You plug it into the AUX jack in the back of your system and the headphone jack in the Ipod headphone spot. I got the cord at Best Buy for ten bucks. It works GREAT!

Bose 321 is unable to read 6Channel AC3 Audio. Any way it can read the same?

This is true. The 321GSX will decode Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 or PCM 2.0 digital signals from external sources (like most receivers) but will not decode any 6.1 content. AC3, mp3, mp4, wav, aiff all should work from a properly formated CD or DVD (must be -R or -RW format, or commercial), but not multi-channel AC3 content.
