How do you crouch in call of duty 4 ds

If you are anything like me, playing first person shooters seems to be a constant battle for survival. With the release of the Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Beta I was hoping that by some miracle I had improved my gaming skills and would be able to at least stand a fair chance… apparently not!
But don’t fear, my friends! After countless hours of experimenting with game play I have found some tried and true techniques that may just see you live to play another death match. In fact I have gone from an outright bunny to an average player in just a few hours.
So here they are fellow bunnies - Lexx’s top five tricks to improve your Call of Duty 4 gaming.
Controller Set Up
Now this may seem pretty obvious to the experienced FPS player, but to the average gamer why would you need to even think about this? Well here is the trick! Ever notice how when you are watching a replay of your demise, the opponent seems to be able to whip the gun around and target you while you are shooting at the ground in a panic? That’s because they have adjusted their controller sensitivity to the maximum setting. So before you even think about jumping into a match, make sure your sensitivity setting is set as high as possible.
Weapons
So you like the big guns eh? Well the truth is the more heavy duty the weapon the more recoil there is to deal with. Recoil is not your friend. It takes practice to master these guys. I suggest sticking to a light machine gun that is a medium range weapon like the MP5. These weapons are more accurate and although they have less stopping power, the chances are you will actually get a head shot in. Now when confronted in close quarter battle, it’s easy to panic and just try and rush at the enemy in the room - there is your mistake right there. While you are moving towards them in an attempt to knife them they are shooting at you. Here’s my tip. Just drop where you are into the crouching position and shoot. They are always aiming high so by the time they move their gun down you have hopefully put a few rounds into them. Lastly as you increase your rank, use your perks. These will allow you to increase bullet damage, shoot through walls and increase your health. They are a must if you want to stand a chance against a player with a rank of 16 or more.
Aiming
Aiming is a godsend in these times of outright carnage. But here is another thing I have found that works. The top players (again when you see the replay of your slaughter) are not always looking down their sights at you. I have begun to only use my sights for distant killing. Try and get use to your targeting reticle just pointing at the opponent. Get a feel for the cross hairs that are always on screen. It’s faster to point at your enemy and shoot than waste the second it takes to bring the sights up. I know this goes against all your intuition as a bunny, but trust me – it works.
Movement
Now we all know that camping is the best way to get kills, right? Wrong! The key to survival is fluent and constant movement on the battlefield. If you take a shot at someone, promptly move on. Never ever kill an opponent and stay in the same spot. Remember they get to see how they bit the big one – so move on! I can’t recall how many times I go looking for the noob that shot me and (surprise) they are still sitting in the same place. Now also make sure you run all the time. There is no point moving at a slow speed. You want to be as hard to hit as possible. In Call of duty 4 the player no longer has to hold down their left stick to run so take full advantage of this new feature.
Tactics
Be tactical in your thinking. Don’t just go blindly charging out into the middle of a fire fight. Try and use your environment to your advantage. If you’re using a sniper rifle, always be low to the ground. Even consider trying to be inside a bush. If you’re a typical gunner, use height and windows to rain down terror on your enemies. Learn where the “sweet” spots of the levels are. Take your time to look at where and what other players seem to crouch behind to give them an advantage.
So even if you are not the best player on the field, if you keep these points in mind, you are going to improve your skill level and hopefully get far more enjoyment out of the game.
