Question about Philips Magnavox 42MF521D/37 Television
I have a phillips 36" Magnavox Smart Series Plus TV model number TP3684C101 (It is not a flat screen, LCD, or plasma...just the regular televsion set). Recently after I turned it on, it began to make a "pop and crackle" sound from inside the back panel of the TV and I could see a flickering light through the vent panel in the back of the tv. I was still able to see the picture perfectly but the TV itself sounded like it might explode (or cause some sort of electrical hazard). Could this be a replaceable fuse or some other repair that I can do myself? Any help that you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Remove the cover and observe the source of the light. if its in the picture tube it can be fixed with a picture rejuvonator. if its a cracked solder joint a soldering iron and solder will fix it.
