The new computers that you purchase would not come with a hardcopy of the user manual however you would find a quick start guide that would help you setup the computer.Once you have setup the computer and logged onto Windows you could find softcopy of the User manual.Please follow the below steps to locate the user manual:-
Click on Start-->All Programs-->Acer Documentation-->Acer User Manual
You could also download a softcopy of the User manual from the Acer website by visiting the below mentioned website:-
From here you could select the type of computer and model number of the computer and then download a softcopy of the user manual.
Thank you for your time and best wishes for your effort.
you can not just copy vista. you would need to get an install cd of vista and install it onto the pc. this still may not fix your internet problem as there is no guarantee that vista will even have the drivers for your pc components.
Try pressing F11 as you boot up and before the Windows starts (assuming you use Windows). On initial start you'll get some ACER banner, immediatly press F11 several times. This must happen before Windows begins. From there you can RESTORE if your system has this original factory partition. If not then the only way is to have your original SYSTEM RESTORE discs or ask ACER how to get them.
I had the same exact problem letter for letter except mine was a COMPAQ Presario F730US. I Bought an external 2.5 inch usb hard drive case and placed my hard drive from the laptop in it. I backed up all my files to my desktop making a mirror image of the hard drive. Then I wiped the Hard drive with wipe disk to destroy all my personal data and put the hard drive back in the laptop. I then sent it in for warranty repair for free. It took two weeks to get it back. I bought a new battey(12 cell) on ebay. Then I pulled the hard drive out of the now repaired laptop, put it back in the external usb case, formatted it NTSF and copied the mirror image of the drive back to it. I installed the hard drive back in the rejuvinated laptop, Installed the new battery, and powered it up. Fired up like it never happened. I did not lose 1 bit of data. The reason you make the mirror image with norton ghost is so you do not have to spend a month reinstalling all your apps and preferences. Follow these instructions to the letter and the result will be the same.
As you say you still under warranty get hoppin on this and it will only cost you 15 bucks for the external case and a new battery, which I recommend you get from ebay and not the manufacturer.(1/3 the price).
