Custom print size help Kodak 5500

I need to print a custom paper size and the "custom" button is greyed out in the printer dialogue box. I need to print 4 x 8 inch greeting cards.
I've been trying everything. It says I have no permission to save settings? But I am the administrator of my computer. I need the custom button to "ungrey"? Thanks

If you are running windows vista there is a built in roadblock to being able to add any custom size pages. You have to turn off user account control by going into control panel, users, user accounts and then turn on/off user account control. After you do this you can add any size you want then if you want the added safety go back and turn on the user account control. Hope this helps and happy printing!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

FUJI XEROX Document Centre C400 can't set custom paper size

I found that I needed to be logged in as the Administrator for Win 7/64 before I could edit the custom paper size in the advanced printer settings for my P205b.
The printer driver has a stupid feature where you have to specify custom sizes privately to the printer driver before you can then choose that size in your application; you can't just enter a custom size in your application.
You also have to specify if that paper is to show up at 1:1 or some scaled value.
Because the driver didn't have A6 in its private list of paper sizes, I couldn't print in A6 at 1:1 because selecting A6 in the application produces a message saying that you can't print A6 at that scale factor!!!!!

My Kodak ESP3250 printer won't print invitations. It just keeps spitting out the invitation and telling me I have the wrong size paper.

This is common with these printers. When you go to print and the kodak dialog print box comes up you need to change the paper size manually for the printer. The printer does not always take the correct paper size from the program you are printing in if it is a custom document.

another word of advice. USE THE TEST SHEET FIRST. This printer does nto correctly print invitations you need to offset the items about 1 inch to the right or so. Test before you print the real things.

Select the proper page size in the page setup dialogue box and again in the various print dialogue box sub menus. Also make sure your printer is selected and you are using the correct drivers.

If all of these things are in place you should get a long list of paper types in the pull down menu when you attempt to print.
